Social Media Policy
Last updated July 12, 2025
At Anchor Point Behavioral Health, we deeply value the therapeutic relationship, your privacy, and the creation of a safe and attuned space for healing. In today’s digital world, it’s important to clearly define how we maintain ethical and professional boundaries online. This policy outlines our approach to social media, online presence, and digital communication.
Social Media Guidelines
To preserve the integrity of our work together:
Personal Accounts: Our clinicians do not accept friend, follow, or connection requests from clients on personal social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok. These boundaries are in place to protect your confidentiality and ensure that the therapeutic relationship remains clear, focused, and professional.
Professional Pages: Anchor Point Behavioral Health maintains public pages on Instagram and Facebook where we share psychoeducational content, mental health tips, and practice updates.
You are welcome to follow or engage with these pages, but there is no expectation or requirement to do so.
Please keep in mind that interacting with our posts publicly (likes, comments, shares) could potentially compromise your privacy.
In alignment with our ethical standards, we do not follow clients back, respond to direct messages, or engage in comments on social media. If you need to reach us, please use email or phone.
Online Searches
We will not search for or look up clients online, including through social media, Google, or other platforms. If we were to encounter content related to you inadvertently, we would refrain from engaging with it in order to protect your privacy and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
Our Website
Anchor Point’s website is designed to offer you accessible, transparent information about who we are, the services we provide, and what to expect when working with us. You are welcome to explore the site to learn more about our practice, therapeutic approach, and areas of specialization.
If you have questions or want to connect, please reach out by phone, email, or through the secure contact form on our website.
Email & Telehealth Communication
Email Use: Email is used for administrative purposes only—such as scheduling, rescheduling, or sharing paperwork. We do not use email for clinical conversations or time-sensitive concerns.
Secure Platforms: Anchor Point uses a HIPAA-compliant email system and secure, encrypted telehealth platform to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.
Between Session Communication
If you need to get in touch between sessions, please use phone or email. We do not monitor or respond to messages sent via social media platforms.
Final Thoughts
We understand that digital boundaries can sometimes feel unclear, and we invite open dialogue about any concerns or questions you have. Our goal is always to create a safe, grounded, and respectful environment—online and in session—that supports your healing process.
Thank you for taking the time to review this policy with care.
